My family and I were there a few weeks ago and it was an amazing dinner. The meatloaf and the chile lime crusted chicken were amazing and the service was outstanding. Definitely a place to go back to when we're up in Monterey again.

Both the food and the service was excellent. I had the pork chop dinner coupled with the Apple mix lettuce salad and crab cakes. Our server was very attentive and friendly.

We picked this restaurant during a quick visit to Monterey knowing that they not only could accommodate our dog joining us, but they welcomed him! We had a reservation and sat outside on a Saturday night in July. We loved everything we ate and drank. The parking was a little tricky to navigate (once we found the lot, we were fine! But our maps brought us a weird way into the lot) but the restaurant was a beautiful oasis with excellent service and delicious food.

While spending a weekend in Monterey we started our weekend by having dinner at Tarpy's. Our server Ashley was super pleasant and cheery. Started with a Barrel Aged Boulevardier. Very nice. The pesto artichokes as an appetizer and Had the fish special (halibut) as an entre which was lovely. Great place with lots of locals. Great place to have a romantic dinner or bring a large group.

Tarpy's Roadhouse served one of the most tender and flavorful short rib dishes I've had in years. The meat was so incredibly soft that it was almost buttery, requiring only a butter knife to effortlessly cut through. This small detail speaks volumes about the care and precision that went into preparing this dish. It was a truly unforgettable dining experience.

I walked in before happy hour and still left very happy! Welcoming servers, beautiful patio that looked like a booming lunch spot! I pulled up a seat at the bar and was greeted right away! Stopped in for a glass of wine and a snack, I took the bartender's recommendation of a red by the glass and was so pleased with his choice! Well rounded red, not too robust, soft bouquet a bit jammy very enjoyable. (I wish I remembered the name) So many good choices for appetizers and bar snacks! Tuna tacos that looked amazing! Fried calamari is always a winner but I stuck with a classic the fried potato wedges! Aww if you haven't you should! Seasoned so well! Crunchy on the outside and soft creamy potatoes inside. Served with a rosemary secret sauce of sorts haha and ketchup. My bartender suggested a front of the house favorite with the fries they normally enjoy, beer cheese! Usually comes with their pretzel but I had it with my fries and I was hooked! What a great place for what looked like business lunches, quick bites (next to the Monterey airport) and to celebrate memories there! Will definitely go back for dinner! Stay tuned!

Every time we drive up to Santa Cruz, from LA area, we have to eat at Tarpy's. The food, ambiance, and service is always excellent. Photos have been posted on a previous review of Tarpy's. I don't take photos every time.
